Phorion Kronos is a macOS security tool designed to enhance Apple's Transparency Consent and Control (TCC) security and privacy mechanism. By monitoring Apple log data, Kronos aims to increase transparency into TCC prompt requests, as well as TCC resource usage. Kronos also provides users with the ability to revoke TCC permissions after a given time period.
Revoke permissions after set time
Kronos enables users to add time constraints to the permissions that they grant their applications. By revoking sessions after a specified time period - Kronos aims to bring the principle of least privilege to macOS devices.
Research driven
Kronos was first released during a talk at the world renowned conference Objective by the Sea. This tool was developed to enhance user security and to demonstrate some key enhancements that could be to Apple's TCC mechanism. The conference talk can be found here.
